--Streamlined lines adorn the body! The early model 813 series with modified long seats!

[Vehicle Introduction]
The 813 series electric train was introduced by JR Kyushu in 1994 to replace aging JNR-era commuter trains and passenger trains.
The train features a lightweight stainless steel body, three doors on each side to reduce boarding and alighting times, a striking design with the front and passenger doors painted in the company's corporate color red, and decorative lettering affixed to various parts of the body.
The interior of the train has been fitted with reversible cross seats.
The control system employs a VVVF inverter control system, resulting in energy savings.
There were numerous sub-series classifications even at the time of their initial manufacture, including the 2-car 0-series, the 3-car 100-series, the 200-series and 300-series manufactured from 1997 with modified body structures, the 400-series and 500-series intermediate cars manufactured to convert the 0-series into 3-car sets, the 1000-series with a changed position for the powered car, and the 1100-series with enlarged destination displays.
Subsequently, the skirts were enlarged, some rooftop equipment was removed, and further changes such as the formation of fixed train sets and alteration of the seating layout resulted in an increase in the number of sub-series classifications.
As of 2026, 246 813 series cars are coupled with other 813 series cars or other series to form long trains, playing a leading role in commuter and school transport, mainly in the Fukuoka metropolitan area.
Since 2023, the conversion of the interior of the train cars to long seats, excluding the ends of the cars, has been implemented in stages and is still ongoing as of 2026.
The trains that underwent this modification had 2000 added to their car numbers.
The R2109 train set was originally the 813 series 100 series R109 train set, and all three cars are early models with many ribs around the windows.
The train underwent modifications to convert it to long seats in 2025, and its serial number was changed.

[Product overview]
Micro Ace's suburban train series is further expanded. This is a variation product based on A6291 (released in March 2012).
We are producing a model of the R2109 train set of the 813 series, which operates on Kyushu's main artery, and which was converted to long seats in the summer of 2025.
In accordance with the actual train, the door numbers have been omitted from the passenger doors. The interior has been reproduced with cross seats at the ends of the car and long seats elsewhere.
Both the lead cars and intermediate cars are early models of the former 100 series, with many ribs around the windows.
To match the actual train, the instrument transformer near the pantograph of Kuha 813 was removed.
Similar to A6296 (announced in February 2026), it is equipped with a skirt specifically for dummy couplers with a narrow front opening. A skirt with a wider opening is also included to allow for coupler replacement.
Motorized, with working headlights and taillights. The motor car does not have rubber tires, considering coupled operation.
You can enjoy seeing the 813 series trains individually or in multiple formations, as well as seeing them alongside the 811 series, 817 series, 821 series, and other train types.
