[Vehicle introduction]
-The 8000 type appeared as the first air-conditioning car in 1978 at Shin-Keisei Electric Railway.
-In addition to new innovations such as double doors and electric brakes, it features a unique design on the front using two pieces of glass.
-Field chopper control has been adopted from the 3rd formation, and it has been upgraded until 1985 with improvements such as two intermediate car pantographs.
-Remodeling for the Keisei Electric Railway was started in 2006, and the VVVF inverter control was sequentially updated from 2007]. In addition to the scrapping of non-updated vehicles, all models were converted to AC motors by 2013.
-In 2017, the body color of the 8518 train was changed to the two-tone color of Shin-Keisei Electric Railway's corporate colors, gentle pink and white.
