- The Tobu 30000 series is a commuter train manufactured from 1996 onwards.
- Many new features have been adopted, including a one-handle master controller (a first for Tobu), large destination displays on the sides, and equipment compatible with the Teito Line Hanzomon Line (now the Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line) and the Tokyu Den-en-toshi Line.
- The trains capable of running through to and from the Hanzomon Subway Line are 10-car formations, but due to limitations in the inspection and maintenance facilities on the Tobu Isesaki Line at the time, they were introduced as 10-car formations (6 cars + 4 cars).
- Differences may occur in the rooftop radio antenna, passenger window handles, etc. depending on the manufacturing period.
- When the 50050 series was introduced in 2006, they were gradually switched to operation on ground lines (Isesaki Line and Nikko Line), but in 2011 they were transferred to the Tojo Line, where they were converted into a fixed 10-car formation, had their cab equipment replaced, and are now in service between Ikebukuro and Ogawamachi on the Tojo Line.
