Product Description

──VVVF inverter prototype vehicle after renewal

The 10080 series was introduced in March 1988, and was the first Tobu Railway vehicle to feature VVVF inverter control, with the same body as the 10030 series.
As it was a prototype, only one train set of four cars was manufactured, but it was the forerunner of the subsequent 100 series [Spacia].
In 2006, the inverter control device was updated, and the train is now in service coupled with other 10000 series vehicles.
Furthermore, in 2015, the interior of the 10000 series four-car trains was the first to undergo renovation work.

- Tobu 10030 type dedicated body support parts are attached, which represent the coupler surrounding jumper plug cover etc.

Equipped with a coreless motor power unit with a flywheel
