[Product Introduction]
The 287 series is a DC express train developed by JR West based on the 683 series 4000 series, and is used on the Kounotori and Kuroshio trains.
In 2025, the Kuroshio Limited Express celebrated its 60th anniversary since its launch, and to commemorate this, a 60th anniversary wrapped train began operating in July of the same year.
The first release features a design inspired by the 381 series [Super Kuroshio], which has been in operation since 1989.
In August of the same year, the second edition was released with wrapping featuring a wave motif on the front and sides.
The first phase is scheduled to operate until February 2026, and the second phase until November 2028.

Following the first release, the second series of wrapped trains released to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the launch of the Kuroshio express train has been produced.
The front decoration, which is inspired by the wave design around the headlights that runs from the front to the sides of the leading cars at both ends of the train, is accurately reproduced.
You can enjoy it together with the 10-2175 287 Series [Kuroshio] 60th Anniversary Wrapping, scheduled for release in December 2025, and the 10-1179S/1180 287 Series [Kuroshio], which is currently on sale and highly popular.

[Product features]
The HC603 train set of Suita General Rolling Stock Center Hineno Branch, which has been given the second 60th anniversary wrapping, is now available as a product.
The wave design around the headlights that runs from the front to the sides of both leading cars, the express mark on the front, and the head mark are beautifully reproduced.
Reproduce the rounded front shape and distinctive head/tail lights
The lightning arrester reproduces the new type seen in recent JR West trains.
Slotless motor provides smooth and quiet running
The front end of the lead car uses a KATO close-coupled coupler (without hook). A single stage of electrical coupler is included. The intermediate coupling section uses a body-mounted close-coupled coupler (with hook).
Head/tail lights are on. Kumoha 287-16 has a light-off switch. The headlights on the driver's cab are lit in white.
