Product Description

The Toyoko Line's 5050 series eight-car trains run directly to five private railway companies in the Tokyo metropolitan area. They mainly serve express and local trains during rush hour commutes.

[Product Introduction]
The Tokyu 5000 series was manufactured in accordance with the Japan Railway Industrial Association's Standard Specifications Guidelines for Commuter and Suburban Trains, which aims to reduce the cost of building new vehicles through standardization.
Jointly developed by JR East and Tokyu Car Corporation, this is Tokyu's standard vehicle, based on the E231 series and incorporating original Tokyu elements in various places.
The 5050 series began commercial operation on the Toyoko Line in 2004.
Currently, with direct service between five companies, eight-car trains are in service on a wide range of routes, from Motomachi-Chukagai on the Minatomirai Line to Shiki on the Tobu Tojo Line and Hanno on the Seibu Ikebukuro Line.

A new lineup has been added to KATO's Tokyu Corporation series.
This product will feature the 8-car 5050 series currently in service on the Toyoko Line in its latest form, with an antenna added to the roof of the lead car.
You can enjoy it together with a wide range of direct trains, including various Tokyu Corporation products currently on sale, the 10-1961/1962 Seibu Railway 40000 series 50s, and the 10-2157/2158 Seibu Railway 40000 series 50s (L-train), scheduled for release in February 2026.

[Product features]
The 5174 train belonging to Motosumiyoshi Depot is now available as a product.
Reproduces the form of the leading car (5174, 5874) with an additional digital radio antenna and the middle car (5474) with the IR antenna removed.
The thick red stripe on the side panel and the yellow warning stripe at the end of the car are reproduced.
The "8cars" logo is printed on the windshield. The identification strip next to the driver's door is reproduced in red.
Each car features a Mitsubishi air conditioning unit (CU708 type cooler) mounted on the roof.
The middle section of the train is equipped with a KATO close-coupled coupler (with hook) as standard. The front section is equipped with a dummy coupler.
Head/tail lights and front destination display lights (white LEDs)
Slotless motor provides smooth and quiet running
Front display [14K Express Motomachi-Chinatown] already installed. Replacement [08K Local Wakoshi] [21K Local Shibuya] [(plain)] included.
The side display is printed in plain black. Destination display stickers are included.
