[Product overview]
The Kintetsu 8600 series is a vehicle manufactured for the Kintetsu Nara Line and Kyoto Line since 1973, with 20 four-car trains and one six-car train.
The trains have the same large body shape as the 8000 series manufactured from 1964 and the 8400 series manufactured from 1969, with a length of 20m and four doors that open from both sides. However, as they have been equipped with air conditioning units since they were first manufactured, the roof shape has been changed to be slightly rounded.
In addition, the distinctive destination sign above the front connecting door has been installed since the time of manufacture, and has since been installed on subsequent commuter train and conventional train series as well.
