--In 1979, during the transfer for the Aichi Tree Planting Festival, it was even used in a push-pull configuration with locomotive No. 61! We've reproduced locomotive No. 60, which played an active role in imperial trains and freight trains.

EF58 No. 60 was built in July 1953, along with its sister locomotive No. 61, and was designated from the outset as a locomotive exclusively for use on imperial trains.
The car body was painted in a deep crimson color known as "tame-iro," and featured stainless steel decorative strips and an unpainted, polished undercarriage, boasting a beautiful appearance.
The roles of pulling the Imperial train were divided between locomotive No. 61 as the primary locomotive and No. 60 as the reserve. Although No. 60 was later removed from its Imperial train designation and became a general-purpose locomotive, undergoing various modifications, it continued to maintain its unique paint scheme and decorations and served as the ace of the Hamamatsu locomotive depot.
The last hurrah for locomotive No. 60 was when it served as a reserve locomotive for the first time in a long time on the imperial train that ran during the Aichi Tree Planting Festival in 1979. Four years later, in 1983, it was retired to the regret of many fans.

[Product features]
The No. 60 locomotive, which was originally introduced as a locomotive exclusively for the Imperial Train, is being produced in its final form as a reserve locomotive for the Aichi Tree Planting Festival in 1979 (Showa 54), featuring small H-rubber windows, a Yoroid-type air filter, etc.
It features a specially designed body and reproduces the unique decorations of locomotive No. 60.
The deep, rich body color is realistically reproduced.
Integrated body design (stainless steel decorative strip, license plate, manufacturer's plate)
The headband-like trim on the headlights is reproduced.
The Japanese flag used when pulling the Imperial Train No. 1 is detachable. You can attach it and enjoy operating the Imperial Train.
Standard equipment includes Arnold couplers (silver). Knuckle couplers (silver) are included for replacement.
The driver's cab is depicted (control panel, seats, and see-through interior).
The PS14 pantograph (silver molded parts) is used.
The vehicle markings are accurately reproduced.
It employs a power unit with a flywheel-equipped GM-5 motor.
