The E131 series 0-series trains were introduced in 2020 with the aim of improving the quality of local transportation in the Boso area and enhancing passenger comfort.
The passenger compartment is based on the E235 series, and the driver's cab is based on the E129 series, resulting in a 20-meter, 4-door design. A 1M system is adopted to allow for flexible train configurations.
The interior features an unconventional semi-cross seating arrangement, while the exterior boasts a color scheme of blue and yellow, reminiscent of the Boso Peninsula's sea and rapeseed blossoms, adorned with polka dots that evoke the image of splashing waves.
These trains are used on the Kashima Line, Uchibo Line, and Sotobo Line, and some trains operate as four-car formations by coupling two train sets together.
We will be re-releasing the E131 series 0-series, which is active in local transportation in the Boso area.

We are producing a model of the R06 train set belonging to the Makuhari Train Depot.
The blue and rapeseed yellow side stripes, inspired by the sea of Boso, and the polka dot pattern on the front are beautifully reproduced.
The side safety cameras installed for one-man operation are integrated into the vehicle body.
Headlights/taillights, front display, and train number display illuminate (using white LEDs). Granular taillights are reproduced.
The adoption of a slotless motor ensures smooth and quiet operation (demagnetizing plate already installed).
Each car is equipped with body-mounted KATO close-coupling couplers (without hooks). A two-stage electrical connector is included for the front end.
The front display is pre-installed with "[One-man operation (blue) Kisarazu Uchibo Line]". Replacement displays are included: "[One-man operation (red) Kazusa-Ichinomiya Sotobo Line]", "[One-man operation (brown) Kashima-Jingu]", and "[(blank)]".
