Product Description
--A fairy aiming to become a JR Kyupo influencer! The 811 series Kyupo-chan train!
[Vehicle Introduction]
The 811 series commuter AC electric train was developed to replace aging commuter trains such as the 421 series and 715 series, which were inherited by JR Kyushu from the Japanese National Railways.
The 811 series consists of fixed four-car formations, with lightweight stainless steel bodies resistant to rust. Each car has three double-leaf passenger doors on one side, and the interior features reversible cross seats, designed to improve ease of boarding and alighting during rush hour and enhance passenger comfort.
The running system, like that of the 783 series which was being developed around the same time, utilized thyristor phase control and bolsterless bogies to achieve energy savings and improved maintainability.
Renovation work has been underway since 2016, more than 20 years after its manufacture.
This renovation included converting the control equipment to VVVF inverters, changing to single-arm pantographs, installing long seats inside the trains to cope with the heavy rush hour in the Fukuoka suburban area, converting the toilets to Western-style, and changing the design of the train's livery. As a result, the trains were reclassified as the 1500 series.
Furthermore, starting around 2019, wheelchair spaces were added to each car within the train set, and these cars were reclassified as the 2000 series.
JR Kyushu offers a rewarding points service called [JR KYUPO], and in order to further increase awareness of this service, the [KYUPO-CHAN TRAIN] was launched in January 2026.
Based on the 811 series PM2009 trainset, this train features fun wrapping of Kyupo-chan, a fairy aiming to become a JR Kyupo influencer, in various places both inside and out.

Further expansion of the Micro Ace suburban train series
A variation product based on A6731 (released July 2018).
We are releasing a model of the PM2009 trainset of the 811 series, which operates on Kyushu's main artery and is known as the [KYUPO-CHAN TRAIN].
The images of the Kyupo-chan stickers on various parts of the train car are beautifully reproduced in N gauge using special printing techniques.
Furthermore, various markings such as license plates, logos, and wheelchair symbols are printed without any omissions.
The undercarriage and roof, which underwent refurbishment work, have been reproduced to match the actual train. The instrument transformer near the pantograph has been removed.
Each car features a wheelchair space, recreating the interior. This model differs from the A6731 and 811 series 1500 series.
A new skirt specifically designed for dummy couplers with a narrow front opening has been created. A skirt with a wider opening is also included to allow for coupler replacement.
Motorized, with working headlights and taillights. The motor car does not have rubber tires, considering coupled operation.
You can enjoy seeing the 811 series trains individually or in multiple formations, as well as seeing them alongside the 813 series, 817 series, 821 series, and other train types.
*Some parts may differ from the actual vehicle due to shared parts.
