--The Kiha 58, the definitive JNR express diesel railcar, is being re-released with panoramic windows.

[Product Introduction]
Among the KiHa 58 series, the group known as the 8th batch, manufactured from 1967 onwards, is characterized by its panoramic windows that wrap around to the sides of the KiHa 58 and 28 front windows, and its distinctive appearance with a front skirt.
The KiRo 28 was the final production group manufactured in 1968, and is characterized by significant differences from previous KiRo 28s, such as having the same body cross-section as the KiHa 65 and a lowered rain gutter position.
For a long period, from the era of Japanese National Railways (JNR) to the time after the transition to JR, we were able to see them in operation in various locations.

We will be re-releasing the Kiha 58 series, which features panoramic windows.
This product can be enjoyed with just two cars, making it ideal for those who want to easily enjoy operating N gauge model trains.
You can create various train formations by combining different parts, allowing you to recreate your favorite trains in N gauge.
Furthermore, combining it with existing Kiha 58 series products expands the variety of train formations that can be recreated.

[Product features]
Recreating the form from around 1980 (Showa 55).
This product features the 8th series of trains manufactured in 1967-1968 (Showa 42-43).
The Kiha 58 and 28 are reproductions of cars that belonged to the Fukuchiyama Depot during the JNR (Japanese National Railways) era from 1983 onwards, while the Kiro 28 is a reproduction of a car that belonged to the Yonago Depot until around 1978.
This model replicates the appearance of the later-production group, which are classified as redesigned models.
The panoramic front window, the front coupler area equipped with a skirt and snowplow are reproduced. The typhoon horn is a slit type.
The side view is reproduced with no inspection cover for the driver's cab window, a forced ventilation opening, and a horizontally elongated toilet window.
The roof area replicates the configuration where there are no ventilators in the passenger compartment but there are ventilators in the deck area.
The rooftop water tanks of the Kiha 58 and the underfloor water tanks of the Kiha 28 are reproduced with their rounded FRP (fiber-reinforced plastic) form.
The Kiha 28's air conditioning generator intake is located between the windows on the rear right side, and the side water inlet is located closer to the center, recreating its original configuration.
The front gangway door of the lead car is reproduced in the form of a gangway frame, and a gangway gangway can be attached as desired.
The seats inside the train cars are dark blue in the standard cars and maroon in the KiRo 28 cars, recreating the difference between standard and green cars.
The cooler is AU13E for all models except the KiRo 28. The KiRo 28 is equipped with an AU13 rectangular cooler.
The adoption of a slotless motor ensures smooth and quiet operation.
Each car uses a body-mounted close-coupling coupler. A body mount that replicates the air hose is included as an accessory.
All cars except the KiRo 28 have working headlights/taillights and front display screens (with on/off switch). Warm white LEDs are used.
The front display is pre-printed with "[Express]". A blank replacement front display is included. A sticker sheet containing destination signs and other markings is also included.
