The Izu Kyuko 2100 series [Alpha Resort 21] debuted in July 1993 as a refined version of the popular observation car [Resort 21].
Its exterior features include a front design with a bold, curved body that extends to the maximum building clearance, large windows, and numerous small lights, as well as a bold arrangement of the red, white, and blue body colors inherited from the [Resort 21].
In addition to the usual box seats, the standard class seats also include seats facing the sea, and the seats on the mountain side are positioned higher than the seats on the sea side, ensuring that passengers can enjoy the coastal scenery no matter where they sit in the train.
