Product Description

The Wave Series, which includes a sea surface stage that allows you to easily and realistically depict a ship sailing after completion, is now available!!

[Structural and Specifications Features]
- It is made up of pre-colored parts, so the desired color scheme can be reproduced without painting.
• Because it uses a snap-fit assembly system, it can be assembled without using glue.
- Includes a sea surface base to easily and realistically display the model sailing on the open sea.

[Product Features]
The product is 1/700 scale and is a waterline model type that does not reproduce the hull bottom.
- Modeled after Operation Sho-Go 1 (Battle of Leyte Gulf) in October 1944.
The display base features a three-dimensional representation of the wake generated from the bow, sides, and propellers of the ship.

[hull]
The hull is split into left and right halves, divided at the waterline. It is molded in a special gray color that mimics the battleship gray used at the Kure Naval Arsenal.
- To depict the portholes as largely closed, dedicated side parts were created, with unclosed windows realistically represented by recessed carving and closed windows by raised carving.
- The external electrical wiring attached to the side of the hull is accurately depicted, including the fastening points.

[deck]
- The iron deck and wooden deck are separated into different parts to reproduce the difference in color tones.
The molded colors are dark gray for the wooden deck and gray for the steel deck, mimicking the Kure Naval Arsenal's color.
- The wooden deck uses specially designed parts that differ from those used at the time of completion or during the 1945 Yamato era.

[Armament]
The main gun can be elevated and rotated. It achieves both a minimal number of parts and realistic design.
- The direction of the 46 cm main gun barrel is reproduced using a slide mold to recreate the open state.
The secondary guns are rotatable, and the barrels and turrets are integrated into a single, one-piece structure.
- The central high-angle gun has an added base, which is a unique part exclusive to this product, and replicates the makeshift machine gun/shard protection sandbags.
The Type 94 anti-aircraft guns, a total of four mounted on both sides, have been reproduced with special parts to reflect the differences in shape compared to the Yamato.

[bridge]
- To minimize the number of seams between parts in the bridge, slide molding was used, and the parts were integrated into a single unit.
- The Type 22 radars located on both sides of the bridge are specially designed to recreate their appearance after being relocated upwards.
The 15-meter rangefinder and compass rose are designed to be rotatable.
- A troop waiting area has been added to the rear of the bridge using dedicated parts.

[Chimney/Mast]
The chimney is a left-and-right combination design, and the steam exhaust pipe, whistle pipe, and even the monkey ladder are all represented as a single piece.
- The cap portion (grille) at the top is hollow, creating a very realistic design with a sense of depth.
The mast has a two-piece structure and was designed to integrate the Type 13 radar that was installed during this period.

[Carriage-based aircraft]
- The carrier-based aircraft come in two types, each featuring a dedicated dark green color scheme.
- Includes one Type 0 (three-seat) seaplane reconnaissance aircraft and one Type 0 observation aircraft.
- Panel lines are recessed, and the propellers are integrated with the fuselage using a slide mold for precise detailing.

[Display base for sea level]
This is a specially molded part designed to match the waterline shape of the Yamato-class battleship, made from plastic. (Mold/Manufactured in 2025)
• External dimensions are approximately 396mm (length) x 134mm (width) x 17mm (height). The molded color is clear blue (Color / B01).
- Reproduces the waves spreading from the bow to the sides of the ship, the subdued sea surface at the sides, and the sea surface formation generated by the propellers.
- The waterline section of the ship's cross-section is compatible with the Yamato-class battleships in the Special Series, in addition to the Ship NEXT series.
The bow section comes with three 1mm thick spacers (made of paper) to increase its height.

[Included stickers]
- Includes pre-cut stickers with excellent adhesion and flexibility for easy detail coloring.
- Includes details such as the waterproof canvas on the main and secondary guns, the walkway behind the No. 3 main gun, the naval ensign, and the Hinomaru (Japanese flag) markings on the carrier-based aircraft.
- Includes flags such as the admiral's flag and lieutenant admiral's flag that are hoisted on the mast.
