The body paint is based on white with splashes of blue and yellow, which have been the image colors of the Boso Express since the 255 series, and a logo mark featuring the initials of Boso and the shape of the peninsula has been attached to the side of the passenger doors.
A total of 19 trains and 95 cars were introduced, and many of them were used on limited express trains on various Boso lines, the Yokosuka Line's Homeliner Zushi, and group and special trains.
