Product Description
1/150 scale Taiwanese model train [powered, fully assembled]
This steam locomotive has a wheel arrangement of 1-C-1 and was introduced in 1917 by the Taiwan Governor's Office Railway during the Japanese colonial period as an improved superheated version of the Type 50, which was the main locomotive in Taiwan at the time.
When first introduced, it was called the E400 type, but after the Pacific War, the Taiwan Railway Administration renumbered it to the CK100 type, and it was used on the Pingxi Line and other lines before being scrapped in 1974 due to the introduction of smokeless trains.
Only the top-numbered CK101 was preserved in static form, but in 1998 it was revived as the Taiwan Railway Administration's first preserved locomotive in working order, and travelled around the entire island, becoming a driving force behind Taiwan's railways from the late 1990s to the early 2000s.
As of 2025, CK101 is undergoing long-term repairs at Tomioka Depot.
The model is based on the train's appearance during its final days in service in the 1960s and 1970s, and the body and frame are made using a 3D printer.
The wheels and other running parts are made of brass and stainless steel, and the robot is equipped with a coreless motor.
You can also select the numbers [CK101, CK102, CK105].
