[About the actual vehicle]
The M142 HIMARS (High Mobility Rocket System) is a self-propelled multiple rocket launcher developed in the 1990s.
The US Army began using it in 2010. During Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022, a large number were supplied to the Ukrainian army, and their performance attracted considerable attention.
One of the U.S. Army's medium tactical vehicles, it is a 6x6 multi-purpose heavy transport vehicle with six wheels, equipped with a tracked MLRS/GMLRS multiple rocket launcher system similar to the M270MLRS.
Compared to the M270MLRS, it has a smaller rocket payload, equipped with six MLRS/GMLRS rockets and one ATACMS rocket.
The wheeled M142 HIMARS boasts a top speed of 84 km/h and, with a weight of 16.25 tons, is notably airliftable by C-130 transport aircraft and most other transport aircraft.

This is a 1/72 scale plastic model assembly kit of the M142 HIMARS, a wheeled self-propelled rocket artillery system operated by the U.S. Army.
The model consists of 77 parts, with a finished length of 97mm and a width of 33mm. It realistically models the mechanism of the rocket launcher system mounted on the 6-wheeled vehicle.
The chassis accurately models the 6-wheel drive mechanism, including the drive shafts.
The cab mounted on top of the frame and the rocket pod mounted on the rear of the vehicle are also accurately represented in shape.
