[Product Introduction]
The EF64-1000 series was introduced in 1980 to replace older electric locomotives that were operating on the Takasaki and Joetsu lines.
After the transition to JR, air conditioners were installed on the roof to improve the working environment for the crew, and the trains were mainly used to haul passenger and freight cars on steep gradient lines.
Furthermore, the EF64 1000, belonging to JR Freight's Takasaki Depot, played an active role in hauling limestone transport freight trains via the Ome Line and Nambu Line, which carried limestone mined in Okutama to cement factories and steel mills in the Tokyo Bay waterfront area.

This model reproduces the form and appearance of the air-conditioned, gray H-rubber-equipped buses (1990s) that were used for transporting limestone on the Ome and Nambu lines.
You can recreate the later years of limestone transport by forming a train with the 10-2169 Hoki 2500 JR specification and Hoki 9500 Nippon Oil Transportation products, which are scheduled to be released at the same time.
It is possible to recreate the era when dedicated freight trains ran through the Tokyo metropolitan area, along with other trains that appeared together, such as the Seibu Railway's New 101 series and 5000 series Red Arrows that met in West Tokyo during the same period, and the 103 series and 211 series that sped through the area near Tsurumi where they intersected.

[Product features]
This product replicates the 1990s configuration of air-conditioned locomotives belonging to JR Freight's Takasaki Depot.
The H-shaped rubber seals on the front and side windows are reproduced in gray, and the JR mark is printed on them.
The rooftop air conditioner was newly manufactured with a hexagonal cross-section.
The adoption of a flywheel-equipped power unit (GM-5) delivers powerful and smooth running performance.
